Prologue

Do you ever wonder what happens after you complete a game. Well
this is how you will find out. Now before we begin the main story I want to go
back to the past to 1986. Super Mario Bros had been released just last year and
I was super excited. I had just turned 10 and I got the game for my birthday. I
got my Nintendo Entertainment System (or NES for the rest of the story) and
popped the cartridge in. I beat it in about 6 months, as it was really hard at
the time. After completing that game I went and bought Super Mario Bros 2 and it
was, terrible! It was just a port of a Japanese game called Doki Doki Panic. And
the characters were just replaced with Mario characters. Mario, Luigi, Peach and
Toad. After that experience I never played a Mario NES game again… Until
now.


Hi, my name is Derek. Recently I have been involved in weird
stuff, and its getting worse by the day. This is my story.

Day 1. 3:50
PM
It all started when I was looking for a game to play for my YouTube gaming
channel. I was looking in my attic for games when I found my NES and the
cartridge, the Super Mario Bros cartridge. “Nostalgia moment,” I chuckled,
remembering the fun times. “I know! I’ll play this for my videos!”

I went
downstairs and got my capture card. The capture card was already plugged into
the TV though. “That’s weird,” I said “I left that on the dining room table.”
However, I just dismissed it. I plugged the NES into the TV and popped the
cartridge in. “Time for dinner!”
Called my wife.
“Fine!” I called
back.

30 minutes later.

“Hey guys, Miner Does Gaming here and
today I will be playing Super Mario Bros for the NES. So lets get right into it,
shall we?” I asked my camera. “Ok so lets start the game up.” I started the
game, there was no title screen. “That’s odd.” I said, as I sat there puzzled.
“I’m pretty sure that there’s a title screen.” The game started. Mario looked
weird, he looked like he did in Super Mario World. “That’s unusual, that’s the
Super Mario World sprite! OK the Super Mario World game was on the SNES and the
NES can’t even handle the amount of power the SNES can!”
I was a bit creeped
out by this and I considered turning off the console but I thought “NO! NO! You
have to witness this!” But the problem was, I didn’t think that, I don’t know
what said it. “Sorry guys, I have to go, just a little introduction to this
strange game.”

Day 1. 6:23 PM
I was uploading the video to youtube
when I was disturbed by a scream from my wife. I ran over to discover what had
happened. Sprawled on the wall (in blood) was the letter M. My wife recalled
nothing though, she couldn’t even see the M on the wall!
