Drop Parties: Something every minecrafter knows about and often hopes for on the servers they play on.

A technique to ensnare many to a server that often isn't that good.

Pros: Helps start off new players.

Gives players a chance to start off not being killed instantly.

Levels the playing field in player wars.

Cons: Often unfair.

Makes the game boring as there is no need to work any more.

Often shows the owner is willing to give stuff away for money.(Could be a pro)



What we should do about them? I think that if drop parties are used they should only give away stuff less than iron. It is no longer fun when you go into a drop party and come out with a inventory of diamond blocks. Drop parties should be rare and not have OP stuff or things of great value rained down upon the participants.
