You have just received word of Minecraft 1.8. You are ecstatic! Biomes, experience, even the mysterious strongholds! You wonder what strongholds will be like, or what role the new villages will have, you can't contain your excitement! Then you hear tales of a new mob. The name you can't remember, but it sounds creepy. Your mind focuses back to your quite fruitful mining spree and as you finish you think to yourself, "Wow it got dark fast!" So bedtime it was.

The next day 1.8 is out! You spend the day exploring biomes and even found a stronghold! "Dang these silverfish are annoying!", you yell. After a long day of exploring, you head home to your nice, warm bed. You go to lay down and suddenly, YOUR BED IS GONE! You don't know why and the only mysterious thing is some purple particles floating around. You are oblivious to the threat and you dismiss it as a bug.

Then you realize that the glowstone is gone from your room, torches too! Your whole base is dark! You wonder why as the particles appear again. You're scared now. "Gotta light it up, don't want mobs here." you mumble to yourself, still unaware of the danger ahead.

As you finish the lights, you notice something, something tall, dark, mysterious, you chase after it, but it's gone. You then realize you are lost. You forgot your compass, even a sword. You see the object again, for a split second. Still you pursue it, only to lose it. You finally remember where you are and turn back around to your base.

And there it was. Tall, dark and surrounded by purple particles. In it's arms it carries a dirt block, and stares at you and opens it's jaw to frighten you. It works. You are paralyzed with fear and eventually you run. It then reappears right it front of you! You scream, you are terrified, you run some more, it attacks! You still run, panting, horrified as you are down to half a heart. You keep running, but fail to notice the cliff right in front of you, and fall. You awaken at your spawn, 15000 blocks from your base. Angry, shocked,

terrified.
