Before Origins #1, Sweeping Broom used to have a family back in the day. Although they were Sweeping Brooms, they were messy and didn’t clean up by themselves.
One day, Sweeping Broom got out of school and was walking back home. When he opened the door, he saw the most terrifying thing in his life. He saw his family laying on the ground dead.
After calling 911, the ambulance came in and investigated the scene. They determined that they all died from a disease that was caused from the mess in the house.
Sweeping Broom was devastated to see his family dead. On that day, he made an oath to himself that he will protect people by killing all diseases to prevent people from dying like how his family.
