My idea consists of an in game economy that is run by the NPC's in the villages. If the NPC's could trade with one and other (figuring out what is a good trade and what is a bad trade) it would create a fair in game economy and add a new aspect to the game.

My next idea has probably already been said. Quests! Quests would add a more RPG feel to that game. A few people say minecraft is becoming too different. I like it. Notch, Jeb and Dinnerbone have all done their part and have contributed to the game very well. Quests would add more of and adventure aspect, where not only will you explore new chunks but also have a purpose in doing so. e.g. Fighting off a zombe horde for one night and in return you get items or money (weaving into the economy idea) Or killing a Red Dragon (dragon eggs have no purpose yet) in a near by cave.
