Once, there was a man named David who loved exploring abandoned places. His curiosity had taken him to crumbling asylums, forgotten factories, and old, decaying homes. But there was one place he had always avoided—the Blackwood Manor.

The manor had a dark history. In the early 1900s, it had belonged to the Blackwood family, who were known for their wealth and influence. But one night, the entire family disappeared without a trace. The locals whispered of dark rituals and malevolent spirits, and over the years, the manor became a place no one dared to enter.

David had heard the stories but never believed in ghosts or curses. So, one cold autumn evening, he decided to explore Blackwood Manor. Armed with a flashlight and his camera, he made his way through the overgrown path leading to the mansion.

The house loomed ahead, its windows like empty eyes staring into the night. The front door creaked as he pushed it open, revealing a grand hallway covered in dust and cobwebs. The air inside was cold and still, as if time had stopped.

David began to explore, his footsteps echoing through the empty halls. He found old furniture covered in white sheets, family portraits hanging crookedly on the walls, and books filled with strange symbols. The deeper he went, the more uneasy he felt, but he pushed the feeling aside, convincing himself it was just the atmosphere.

In one of the rooms, he discovered a large mirror, its surface tarnished with age. As he approached, he noticed something odd—his reflection was delayed, moving a fraction of a second after he did. He waved his hand, and the reflection followed, but with a slight lag. His heart began to race as he realized something was wrong.

Suddenly, the reflection smiled at him, though he had not smiled. David stumbled back, but the reflection stayed in place, grinning wider. He turned to run, but the door slammed shut on its own. The room grew darker, the only light coming from the mirror, where his reflection now stared at him with hollow, black eyes.

A voice echoed in the room, soft at first but growing louder, filling his mind with a strange, maddening chant. He covered his ears, but the voice grew louder still, until it was all he could hear. The reflection in the mirror began to change, shifting into a twisted, monstrous version of himself.

David screamed, but no sound came out. The mirror cracked, and from the fractures, black tendrils emerged, wrapping around him, pulling him closer to the glass. He struggled, but the tendrils were too strong. As he was pulled into the mirror, the last thing he saw was his reflection, smiling with satisfaction.

The next day, a group of thrill-seekers decided to explore Blackwood Manor. They found David's camera lying on the floor of the room with the mirror, but there was no sign of him. The last photo taken was a blurry image of David, standing in front of the mirror, his expression one of pure terror.

They left quickly, unnerved by the discovery. None of them noticed the faint reflection of David in the mirror, his hollow eyes watching them leave, waiting for the next curious soul to enter the manor.
