HELP!!!! NOTCH NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS!!!!!

hello people. i used to play minecraft on my mac 10.5.8, but ever since 1.8 came out, i cant get on any world, or server. I can log in to minecraft, get to the menue screen and see my worlds and everything, but when i try to load a world or a server the screen goes black then shoes a super fast white error screen then goes black again. any help??

UPDATE: so i figured out a fix. apparently there has been a small mod floating around to fix this. i found it on youtube its called minecraft mac 10.8.5 open gl 1.3 fix. (This works fine with other versions of mac aswell) if you cannot find it message me and i will send you the link.

nope whitey that doesnt fix it sorry bro :p it does now after 1.9 came out i think... before that you needed the mod

if you want to fix this you need to delete EVERYTHING to do with minecraft on you Pc/Mac.

well, if i were you id get single player commands. best mod in the world. and also if your trying to use lots of mods at once, get modloader. i also sugest optifine. makes everything faster

Do u no any other mods that work for 10.5.8 I have mycraft and I was wondering if a mod would work for both besides toomanyitems.

ok slyboy, i already found a mod. you cannot just delete the miecraft folder, its in the game! the 1.8 update came with an advanced opengl put in to the game, opengl1.3. for most 10.5 mac users, there grafics card will not update the advanced gl or game graphics. because of this, someone made a mod that went into the game and turned the advanced opengl off so you could play.

ps: i think everyone knows how to get to there minecraft folder i was relating to the past tense of deleted.

Find run on ur compuer if u use windows or if mac use ur finding machine or whatever than go to %appdata% then u should see .minecraft on the top and delet the folder now restart minecraft and ur done hope this helped :DDD

and if tht doesnt work try getting a better graphic crad i hade the same problem my minecraft never worked for a month i couldent even get to the log in screen than i got a new graphic card and now its perfect

ive tryied deleting everything reletated to minecraft on my computer and reinstalled and nothing different.
