Help with a mod

i have two ideas for mods but i don't know ho to make them please help! one of the mods is a redstone block, i hate wiring redstone and i want to make it into a block, and the other is a ups mod, i would have to contact you to give you all of the details for ups. if you know someone that is familiar with making mods or a modder would be the best if he/her could help me. Thank you
