Alright! So let's say you are playing on a typical faction server with your friends when a member of the same faction who just got Minecraft today says he needs help on how to craft
...Let's say... A wooden pickaxe
Now this is where you come!
Will you...
A. Craft one for him
B. Use blocks and place them on the ground and tell him which ones are wooden planks and which one are sticks (same can be done with frames)
C. Say that he is a noob and should look it up and walk away
The correct answer is B! You could also explain it the best of your abilities too (don't forget that!)
A is incorrect because he will not learn anything because you are just handing him a pickaxe that will soon break.
C is obviously incorrect because that is very rude. How will he learn if no one teaches him?
And that is why you should be NICE to noobs, how will they learn?
You shouldn't shun them or talk bad about them, they're just new players who need help.
Your help!
1. Teach them your simple survival techniques!
And if they really need selfdefense, teach them your PvP techniques. (You made need to if you are in a faction server just in case if a raid starts between your faction and another faction(s))
2. Go mining with them!
They'll need your back and experience with Minecraft to help them mine. Also tell them about ores and what they do EX: Diamonds can be used to make a diamond pickaxe which can mine up obsidian!
3. Help them build a simple home
but not too much! You are going to have to help them with some supplies possibly but the thing you should do is teach them how to craft doors or window panes etc so there house can be protected by the mobs of the night
Yeah you should probably warn the person about mobs
I remember my first encounter with a skeleton. I thought it was a mummy!
and I called creepers, suicide bombers or Demomans...
4. Answer Answer Answer!
Make sure to answer all the questions the new guy has or else he'll have no idea what he is doing
Q. What is that thing over there with a zombie spinning inside it
A: Well that is a zombie spawner. It summons a lot of zombies.
Q. How do I sprint?
A. On your keyboard, tap w twice
Q. How do I hide my name?
A. Press shift. But for your name to beinvisible, your name tag must be covered by a block so I can't see it.
