How do you download mods?

Ok, so i just want to know how to get to minecraft jar so i can download mods. Please say in comments. And I will be very happy if you tell me. And please don't say that this sucks just because i want to know how to get to minecraft jar. And I have LOTS of mods i want, so if you have an idea than tell me how to get to minecraft jar and tell me the mod and make sure its for this website.

I also thought of the mood mod where ur player has emotions so when its night time and the monsters r banging on ur door u'll feel scared or when u finaly found diamonds u'll be happy when its raining ull feel wet and will move faster or when its hot ull move slower also when ur out murdering creepers and zombies ull have adrenaline also ull move faster its just like that it would be cool if u can make it 1 mod (the talking villager mod and the emotions mod/mood mod) or a mod pack inclooding modloader or u could make it without modloader thats it

Uhhh...... I sort of was confused.... =3 But I probally won't make a single mod for a few years alltough.... but nice idea! (I think you said you wanted me to try and make that mod.... so yeah.... and I just read the comment right below this. lol)

hey ive got an idea for a mod its the Talking Ncp Villagers mod its where u can talk to the npc villagers and they have emotions and u can help them to expand their village

in the start search bar type run then in run type %appdata% then go into .minecraft and open bin then get WinRAR and open the minecraft.jar file

Ok thanks! But, when i did it, i couldn't put in any mods because it said that i cant open it.... can you help me out with that?

Here is A Step by Step guide to installing mods(made by me XD)

Before you begin:
1.) Download ModLoader: HERE, download it to the desktop.
2.) Get the mods you want to install, making sure they don't conflict
3.) extract them both, so it is just .class files

Now let's install them!

1.) on your keyboard, press Window key + R, and a little window should pop up
2.) in the little box, type %appdata% and press enter
3.) open the Roaming folder
4.) open the .minecraft folder
5.) go into the bin folder
6.) you should now see a few .jar files. Open minecraft.jar
7.) DELETE THE META-INF FOLDER IN THE JAR FILE!!!!!
8.) From the files you downloaded, drag the .class files into the minecraft.jar

Now open Minecraft! If you get a black screen, then one or more of the mods you want conflict with eachother. to get back to vanilla or try again with mods, open minecraft and select "Force Update"!
