How to build a good looking building?

When you build you always need to start with thinking of what. Will it be a house a castle or a whole city? Then you start thinking of wich style? I highly reccomend doing medieval style because its not hard to build. Always think of a texture pack to use, texture packs give a nice look wich increases the look of your house. (We are going to use a viking style house in the examples) Try  to get examples of the internet.

You need to build the Construction First. The basic’s. With medieval houses i suggest to start off with the beams wich support the roof. And the pillars wich hold up the beams.

Then you start with the roof. Wich Block will it be wood/hay or Stone? With viking/nordic styled houses i always use hay. Vikings(nords) always live in the cold biomes thats why they use hay as roof so they will have it warmer.

Now you add blocks around the roof. I do this because its hay and it can stay up by itself.

Putt something at the end off the roof. It will look much better than without. It can also show wich style it is.

Now its time for the wall, use a Block wich looks good in the style. I am going to use stonebrick because stonebrick is strong and can easily hold weather outside and the wall up.

We are going to add details and in-depth to the wall with slabs windows stairs and more.

With flowers you add color to the houses and it will look good.

Now we are almost done with the wall lets go to the First Floor. I will use stained clay but u can also use wool to make it have some color difference. I added extra beams as you can see.

Now i add detail to the outside of the First Floor wall.

We are coming close to the end.

I left a piece of the wall blank so we can make a fireplace there. We will use another kind of Stone like cobblestone, we will also use walls stairs, slabs and cobweb as smoke.

Then we also add some slabs and a door to the house and its done!

This was my tutorial on a better looking building, if you use this on a other building or with another style keep in mind you need to use other blocks to make it look good. I didnt do the interior but i will do that in another tutorial later on.

Thanks for looking at this and see you guys next time!
