How to change the yellow bouncing letters in minecraft. (splashes)

So I bet there are a lot of questions on this type of subject. So I decided to give you the answers. This is the most easy thing you can ever do to your minecraft.jar file. Like seriously easy. EVEN MORE EASY THAN DELETING YOUR META-INF FOLDER!

OK so here are the instructions:
  1. Locate your minecraft bin folder and open up your minecraft.jar with either WINRAR or 7ZIP.
  2. Finf the folder that says TITLE
  3. There will be a text folder with the name SPLASHES on it you can open it up and delete everything and make your own. (like the images on the top
  4. Open up minecraft and look.

You forgot that you need to delete the META-INF
or it won't work

not true, it's not making mods, it's technically a texture pack. it does not edit the code in any way, so meta-inf can sit pretty where it is.
