Hey everyone! this is my first blog so it'll probably be really bad lol but I've seen many people asking others to convert their skins so I decided to make a tutorial about it!
Note: the HD skin in the featured image was made by TumpWrangler but he's been inactive for 2 months and I don't think he'll come back soon so I couldn't ask him if I could use it here, if he asks me to remove the image I'll change it
Converting a skin to 64x is actually really easy, you just need to go to PMCSkin3D (you do NOT need an account!) or any program that can edit images (like Paint.net) and decrease the resolution
To decrease your skin's resolution in PMCSkin3D you just need to hover your mouse over the "Minecraft" tab at the top of the PMC site and choose PMCSkin3D (the highlighted tool in the image below)
Then it'll ask you if you want to use the advanced or the lite edition, you can choose any of them (the advanced edition isnt that different to the lite edition so dont worry, it doesnt have thousands of buttons like some image editors)
When youre in PMCSkin3D you have to click "File" and then "Open file..." and choose your skin in your downloads folder, your skins folder, your desktop or wherever you put it
After you've opened your skin you'll have to click "Edit" and "Decrease Resolution 2x" if your skin is bigger than 128x128 (you can know by opening your skin in, for example, paint or counting the pixels in the head, if the head is 16x16 the skin is 128x128) you'll have to click that same button until the skin's size is 64x64 (until the head is 8x8)
And that's it! you can now use your skin in Java Edition! but after decreasing the resolution the skin might look bad, maybe your eyes are deformed or your cool shirt is now an abomination, so before saving your skin you might want to fix it using the tools you have in PMCSkin3D or save your skin and edit it in another program (or ask someone else to fix it for you if you dont know how to fix it)
To save you skin just go to "File" and "Save to file" or "Publish to PMC!" if you made the skin or you have the creator's permission
And now just log in minecraft.net, click your email, click "PROFILE", click "SKIN", scroll down and drop (or select if you click "SELECT A FILE") your skin in the rectangle below "2. UPLOAD CUSTOM SKIN", you can also choose if your skin has thick (Steve) or thin (Alex) arms
And now you have a custom skin in Java Edition! :D
I would say how to decrease the resolution in paint.net but doing it in PMCSkin3D is better because you can clearly see how your skin looks
Maybe there was already a blog about this but I didnt think about that and now I've already finished the blog lol, I'll delete it if I have to
If you see someone having this problem send them a link to this post so they can learn how to do it!
I hope you liked it! as I said this is my first blog so if you think I could've make it better tell me what I should change in the comments and I'll fix it! :D
(edit: for some reason a part of the blog was duplicated so I fixed it)

Can you convert this without it turning blurry?
but I cant convert it bc the letters, the hair and the chud word wouldnt be visible if the skin was 64x64
well, the face would be visible but it would look really bad lol
