Make good quality videos!
If you came a yea or so ago, then this would not be a primary step, but now if you don't have 720p videos then not as many people will watch, I admit that 480p is also acceptable! But you don't have to go all out to start with, you can just edit your videos
which brings me on to step

Editing!
Editing is not the most important step, but the more effort you put in a video the better it will look...to an extent, if you over edit the video it will look bad, as with

Logo/Background
These are important, for example, say people had been on your channel liked it, but couldn't remember your name, they went through there history and found your account saw there was no logo and could not recognize you have lost out on a sub. Plus with a logo you are noticed every where!

Background
A youtube background, can be just as important as a Logo! The second someone clicks onto your account, they will see it. You may have your name on it or other stuff but if it looks good people will remember it, and can easily know what channel they are on if they see it

Advertisement
Now this is one of the harder steps! There are many ways you can advertise, you could go onto someones video and say come and check out my channel, most people don't like those who do this. You could find a growing channel and network with them! Or you could find someone who is running a similar program I am, or what ever you want to call it! What I am doing, is finding youtubers I like, ones who I have hope in! You can produce a short clip that runs for 1 minuet at the most, Upload it to youtube send me the link, I will put it at the end of the video where people can check you out. If I believe you could use some more help, I will contact you and see if we can do an interview with you, as a full length game!
