Ok, so basically we have a tutorial on how to install mods for minecraft forge which is quite simple. First, you need the latest version you can get it here: http://files.minecraftforge.net/ if you don't get it you will usually get a black screen. So, for mods that add tools and stuff like armor ores etc. You need to open with WinRAR or 7Zip than open minecraft.jar located in .minecraft/bin. Now to get mods like Backpack go to .minecraft if you have forge than go to mods folder than drag the .zip mod into it now your done. For any questions ask me in the comments.
