Choosing the right Minecraft name is hard, here is a guide on how to make a good one!

First of all, let’s start off with what you DON’T do.

- Never include your real name. So if you’re name is “John Cena,” don’t call it “John_Cena” or “JohnCena1”. This is because people will know your information and you can get your address leaked JUST FROM THAT

-If you’re a girl, don’t call it “GirlyGirl” or anything with “Girl” in it. If it’s a gaming reference, then it would be okay as long as people actually GOT the reference. I’m not saying don’t as I will tell you that my first Minecraft name was “DaFunnyFunkGirl”. The reason I’m saying this is because some people may take advantage of you being a girl. I’m not saying all, but some definitely will.

-Don’t put it as the same as your password… Yeah. It’s pretty dumb, but believe me… People seriously do.

-Don’t spam with numbers… When I see people with their name like: Joe123123123123 It makes me cringe so much! I mean: Yeah, Joe is probably taken… but Joe123 won’t be. Or at a stretch Joe_123 won’t be taken… Why need all the numbers? It’s just weird and makes you seem stupid or not very creative.

-Don’t make it too long… My first Minecraft name “DaFunnyFunkGirl” was 15 letters long. The longest name you could have is 16 characters long. The name really annoyed me as I couldn’t properly colour signs on servers.

-Don’t make it rude… As funny as it seems to you, people WILL get offended and a lot of popular servers will BAN YOU STRAIGHT AWAY if you have a name that’s insensitive or foul.

What you SHOULD do:

-Make it unique and creative and FUN

-Make it short, snappy and memorable

-Have fun while playing
