If you wanna make cool skins but dont have much time you can use an existing one and modify it so it doesnt look alike.If you wanna make realy original ones you just need to draw some ideas in color, try not to make them too detailed. Then you make your favorite into a skin, try not to make divided ones because the arms and legs will duplicate. You can always experiment, you can make your skin as detailed you want. But the drawing needs to be made fastly.
