Hi guys, I though I'd put together a skinning tutorial for all those people wanting to make skins out there. There are many ways to shade skins, but I will focus on 3:
First up....
NO SHADING
This is the most simple way. First, go to http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/571250. Click "New Skin". Then click "Blank". Then "New Layer", then "Custom". Then make the skin without any shading. Finally, save as a png file. Example: http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/trolling-notch-1239766/
Second, the easy way to shade!
VARIED SHADING
First, make your skin in SkinCraft (or Paint.NET but I use skincraft so I can make the hat part easier) withOUT shading. Next, save it as a .png file. Next stop is http://www.minershoes.com/. If you have an account, log in and post the unshaded skin. Then click on "edit" while viewing the skin. Select the color you want to shade. Next, hit the shade button (it looks like a paintbrush )->
and paint over the original color. Then, download it. Example: http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/protector-of-sariphonia/
Other ways coming soon!
