EDIT
I can't beleive I had to do this. Ok. Let me just get these clear, I'm sure your builds are apsaulutely stunning. I've been reading your comments and it's great that you have your own opions and everything but, I was trying to make a blog to tell people tips and advice on how to make their builds look good AFFTTTEER they had built it. Simply to clean off the project and make it more eye-catching and complete. Alright? Go ahead and carry on with the comment wars now.
I'm not saying that without these, your builds would look bad. Not at all! These are just a few tips and suggestions that will hopefully help you out, enjoy!
1. Using A Shader
Using a shader does make your build look pretty damn awesome. I would recommend following a tutorial on youtube of how to download one of these as the process is a little confusing. I noticed that shaders do however make your game a little laggy if your not on a high performance PC or laptop like me. So you can maybe quickly download it and turn it on when you take the screenshot, and just turn the shader off whilst building to reduce lag.
2. Using Graphics, Titles
On your project, you could make a title or maybe a little minecraft character on your, front page thingy. I'm not sure what they are called. This is an easy way of making your project look more professional. You could quickly draw one in paint or something, or create one on photoshop but it would be very simple. It doesn't need to be a peice of art, just some graphics for your work,
3. Photoshop enhancements or filters
Now, don't get me wrong. It isn't cool to abuse these, but I'm trying to say something different. Say you were making a western build or something, it might look cool to put a sepia or yellow tone to the image, just to add to the theme. You shouldn't rely on these though. I also like to put a lens flare on top of the sun as it adds a effect to my projects.
4. Use an appropriate texture pack
As beautiful as Default is, maybe change it up a bit. Maybe a cartoony texture pack for a Medieval build would look a little out of place? You can quickly google a texture pack that fits with your theme, and quickly put it in your texture pack folder to finish off your projects look.
5. Be Confident In What You Do
If you make something cool, don't act as if it's not. It's nice to see someone taking pride in their work, whatever it may be. Being arrogant or cocky about it isn't so good, but subtle pride is pretty awesome, for me anyways.
Alright guys, thanks for reading my first blog and I hope you enjoyed! Leave a comment on what else you think makes projects look prettier, lets avoid saying "detail", I hear that one too much. Please give me a diamond or a fav if you enjoyed, alright thanks!

1. Go and download forge (Use a youtube tutorial if you don't know how to do this)
2. Go into your .minecraft folder by typing %appdata% into your search bar thing.
3. Install GLSL shaders mod and drag it into your mods folder after you have downloaded forge.
4. Go onto your minecraft and run it up and everything to check it, quickly click on the mods tab to check you have successfully installed GLSL shaders.
5. (My method) Go into singleplayer, press the Esc button and click on shaders.
6. Click on open shaders folders or something like that, and drag and drop in the shaders that you want (You need to download these off pages)
7. Enjoy!
