1. download the texture pack or map (note you will need winrar or 7zip) winrar: www.rarlab.com/download.htm
2. Click the windows icon and type %appdata%
3. click .minecraft
For minecraft worlds
1. Click saves
2. put the minecraft world folder in there
3. launch minecraft and its there!
For texture packs
1. click texture packs
2. drag all the files in there
3. create a new folder and name it the name of the texture pack
4. drag all the files into that folder
5. launch minecraft then your done
