Let's see. You just joined a faction server, and you haven't played something like this, never? You are wondering, why you always get betrayed, and you are the worst player in server? That's it! You are tired of this, and you are gonna rule that server! Here are some good tips for you:

• First you want to do on a faction server, is to make your own team. It's not trustworthy to join anyone else.
  
• Never take anyone, who is mean to you, into your faction. Strangers and bullies will always get your faction and base messed up.
  
• Never let anyone to your base, if you do, you are such a noob. :)
  
• Don't PVP before you have great stuff. It's important to hold your power high.
  
• When you start raiding, be careful! If you get caught, you will lose good opportunity to get rich!
  
• Don't ally guys you have raided, they will look for a good chance to pay back.
  
• Don't raid with allies. They will look out for themselves only.
  
• If it's an economy server, don't waste your money. Just wait for great chance to buy something good.
  
• Make your base underwater-underground or up to the sky. Everything else is raidable.
  
• Always look yourself, is there a way to get in your base. If you can find it, they can find it.
  
• Make your base really far away from spawn or anyone could raid it.
  
• Beware of cheaters! If you make your base near the spawn, they could easily find it, even if it's not claimed. Don't PVP with them either. They will win with forcefield. :@
  
• Don't trust anyone!
  
• It's best if you take into team only people you really trust.
  

On faction servers, you need many skills to be the best. You need to be:

• Cold. (Don't be distracted by sad stories)
  
• Skilled PVP-er. (So if somebody messes you, it's payback time!)
  
• Advanced raider. (You know many tricks to get and destroy the base.)
  
• People-Knower. (You can see through people, if they are lying.)
  
• Friendly. (If you want to be the top of the server, you need friends. You need people to think you are sweet and cool.)
  

If you are going to make a faction base, here are some tips:

• Stay out of the spawn!
  
• Don't make your base on ground. Anyone could easily TNT it!
  
• Don't forget obsidian! It's always the best protection.
  
• For ultimate protection, use water and lava!
  
• If you can't afford obsidian, make one obsidian layer on your base, then cover it with lava, next cover lava with stone or some other fire proof blocks, and then again cover it with water. It will give you new layers of obsidian!
  
• Always claim land more than only in base.
  
• Remember! Base is not meant to be beautiful and detailed! It needs just chests and some tools! No decoration for best!
  

By the way, it's a raiding server. No trusting. No sadness. Only payback and yourself.

Make sure to have more than one base have, a faction home and a storage home. Set your faction base then you can get there with /f home but also set your home at the storage And that way other faction members can tp over and set there. This is a key step because alot of factions get raided even if there base is protected so having two bases allows you too have something too fall back on
