Me: How did you get into PMC?
Doughty: Well one day 3 years ago, a friend of mine showed me a cool game that had been bootlegged onto our schoolwide computer drive. This game was Minecraft. Granted it was still Alpha and everything, I got addicted. When creative mode finally came out, I decided to build a giant sand castle during my "free time" at school. After spending the entire school year on it, then some of the next, it was finally done, and I wanted to show it off online. While searching for online Minecraft communities, I came across PMC, and thus my legacy began.
TL;DR. I was in my engineering class, one thing led to another, I got addicted to PMC.
Me: How did you learn to shade?
Doughty: A while back, an old moderator by the name of Happybandaid made a skinning mentoring program, and through this program Jackanoory took me under his wing. I learned basics techniques from him, but I felt like I needed more. At this time I was good friends with The_Soup, and she really enhanced my skinning/shading abilities. Through criticism by acclaimed skinners such as Lilfella, Sneeze7, and Leostereo, I managed to develop a personal shading style of my own to incorporate into my skins.
Me: Where did you get your name? {Doughty}
Doughty: Well, my friends used to just call me Doughboy, since I ate so much that I looked like I was 5 months pregnant with my food baby, and it was very reminiscent of the Pillsbury Doughboy. Later as we hung out more and I did crazier stunts, "Doughboy" was intertwined with "Doughty" (The term for someone who is valiant or brave, which in my case meant I would literally do just about anything, even when all my other friends were too scared to.) So my nickname transformed into Doughty, not the dictionary Doughty pronounced "Dow-tee" but the combination with dough, creating the pronunciation of "Doe-tee"
Me: What's your favorite color?
Doughty: Green, and red, and maroon, and burnt orange, and blue, and yellow. I have a bunch actually, but I guess darker green and the darker shades of red are my top favorites.
Me: Do you like squirrels?
Doughty: At the university I go to, it is believed that if you see an albino squirrel, you will ace your midterms. There is actually a lot of positive mojo that comes from different types of squirrel encounters there, so I guess I would have to say yes, I do like them.
