I recently got the privilege to interview the amazing Leia_!
So lets get started!
What made you start skinning?
. I had been viewing skins on Skindex for months as a non-member, shortly after getting my PC Minecraft account (Lucy_Pevensie). I was fascinated by the amount of creativity used by the skinners and I wanted to try my hand at my own designs. Trust me- the first ones were horrendous. XD
If you could have only one wish, what would it be?
Oh my, that's a very hard one... I'm not sure. I think my one wish would be for everyone to appreciate their own uniqueness and beauty in a way that is never hurtful to each other; and that no one would ever play the comparison game. It's terribly damaging.
What is your dream job?
My dream job would have to be either a real, published author or a psychologist. I'm leaning towards the latter.
Ok I have one you asked me popularity real vs virtual?
I think that popularity can be very harmful in both atmospheres, due to the fact that it often causes people to feel less important and helps depression run rampant. It can also lead to greed. My personal opinion is that everyone should do what they enjoy and not worry about their "level", whether in real life or on social media. Be the very best you can be, don't play the comparison game, and don't ever compromise your values for popularity.
How do you feel minecraft has changed you?/skinning
I think Minecraft has actually, believe it or not, helped me to become more outgoing. I am actually a very shy person in real life and am even sometimes shy online. >.< It's also helped me recognize differences in other people instead of looking on them as clones of myself, or others. Besides the social aspect, though, it's helped me develop my creative sense, especially in working with colours and designs. (I'm never going to master pixel art though. HELP! XD)
When did you start liking Star Wars and Star Trek?
I've been a Star Wars fan since I was a child and played the LEGO games of the entire saga. Years later I watched the movies and loved the original trilogy. Princess Leia for the win! ;D I'm actually pretty new to the Star Trek world in general; I've been eating it up though- I've been an avid fan for about half a year. My favourite season is The Next Generation (TNG); favourite character is Beverly Crusher. ♥
Would you prefer to live with only books or tv?
Mm, that's a hard one. I think books are a better use for developing imagination, and there is a wider selection, frankly. I'd have to choose books. xD Although I'd be quite lost for awhile without SW and ST:TNG...
Ok here's a fun one! Favorite magical power?
Ahh, I'm not sure... controlling storms would definitely be intriguing. ^^ Elemental, I'd say, for certain.
Would you consider yourself shy or outgoing?
In real life I am very shy, quiet, and pensive; rather a daydreamer. >.< Online I am much more outgoing, although I am working on a balance between the two. xD
What's your favorite sport?
Horseback riding! It is such a fun and artistic sport and I would like to become more involved in it someday. <3
If you could teach the world one life lesson what would it be?
I think I would have to reiterate the point I made in question 4.
