So...

Five years ago we were thrown into a world of endless adventure, creation, exploration and just some down right fun! But as we hit this fith year has the game finally came to an end? The game we played for a lot of our younger years, and now is just the game we play when we are bored and have nothing better to do?

Minecraft was originally created by Markus Persson, who you might know as Notch on November 19th, 2011 inspired by various sandbox and voxel-based games. Minecraft started to gain in popularity, quite randomly if I may so as it suddenly rised through the ranks of the popular games, becoming the game everyone wanted, and one everyone wanted to play.

In June 2011, the game got an update the ultimately sparked the sudden rise in players and popularity, the "Adventure Update", adding a hunger meter, advanced combat mechanics, and the terrifying Endermen.

But in November 2011, Notch left the task of updating and working on Minecraft to Jens Bergensten (otherwise know as Jeb_) who then began to update minecraft with weekly snapshots and add in various features wanted by the community and then in 2012 the game was ported to consoles so that console only gamers could get a taste of the glorious fun we wwere basking in.

After all this time, hardwork and apprecition of the creative minds that developed such a simple game that ended up being more complex than a computer (with the help of Redstone creations) the game might have reached the end of it's minecrart track. (No pun intended)

The game has had a decrease in players, the websites have had less views and traffic but yet the game still lives. The game is for some a game which is left alone unless they are bored of everything else, but to some the game is the best they have played, and stil lis, with the constant updates, modding support, textures and online experience.

So choose for yourself. Is the game dying? Is it not dying? The decision is yours!

I dont agree that version 1.9 is at fault, Everything eventually dies, Minecraft has been around for quite awhile, Minecraft is everywhere, Alot of people get bored of seeing it everywhere. About 1.9, There is nothing stopping anyone from just play older versions.
I have seen some people blame Microsoft aswell, That I have seen, Microsoft have not changed or plan to change anything about the game, Mojang still develop the game, Microsoft mostly just brought it because they can get money from it.
Personally I have not noticed any major difference in the decrease in players even if there are facts to say there is.
I will always enjoy the creativity that Minecraft has created, But again, It is never too late to try somthing new and different.
Overall, People just want somthing new, There are millions of minecraft videos on youtube, So why not try somthing different? Why not discover new and rising things to be apart of.

Sorry for the long reply, But Thanks
