Hi. My name is Aterruit. Some call me Ater, Some call me Ate, and some butcher my name so badly I have to give them my first name (Josh). I am the Co-Owner of the Tekkit PVP server LUKEYCRAFT. I am also an admin on this server. But before I was anyone, I was a player. Just like you. By some sick twisted chance of luck, I ran into a player by the name of JohnLukey. The first time I met John, He was already on his 2nd server. Back then Minecraft multiplayer wasn't as advanced as things are now. Back then you just wanted a server to play on where you could build, chat with friendly players, enjoy the occasional PVP duel, and basically just get left alone. Above all, you didn't want to get griefed. But with the advancement of plugins, and the advancement of Minecraft itself, things became more and more complex. If you had a plugin designed to stop griefing, someone discovered a loophole that would enable you to grief in a different way. Of the years, much of this remains the same. John fought a long hard battle before his first server died. The death of a server is always a morbid experience. Knowing that all the buildings, the people and the time placed into that server is now gone is a hard thing to deal with. BUT.. With death comes LIFE.

A few months after his first server (Often called "The 420chan server" because most of it's playerbase came from there) died, JohnLukey bounced back and created a new server. Instead of the free for all vanilla based conundrum that was the old server, John drifted to the world of player management plugins and discovered Towny. And then Lukey's Lands was born. On Lukey's Lands, John discovered me a player (A odd series of unfortunate events) and deemed me worthy of becoming a mod. At this point in my Minecraft Career, I had run 3 of my own servers, Admin'd on 3 more, and Mod'd on 4 others. After a short amount of time as a Moderator, I joined the ranks of Admin With John, and we ran Lukey's Lands together. While Lukey's Lands was a promising server, it wasn't a very popular one outside of it's playerbase. (which was mostly derived from the old 420Chan server) It's time as a server was short lived however, It was shut down after a fatal map corruption.

After Lukey's Lands died, John took a break from the world of being a MC server owner, and concentrated on more impending tasks in real life. Such as applying for a University to further his education. However, that itch to have another server soon started again. And Lukey's Lands 2.0 was born. Lukey's Lands 2.0 was a medieval themed PVP factions server. It was coming along quite well, it had a beautiful spawn, many castles, and a map decorated with intricate medieval NPC villages. But then a bomb hit John and I that we weren't expecting. That bomb was Tekkit.

The advancement that Tekkit brought to minecraft was (and still is!) AMAZING. Tekkit brought to the table what players had been wanting for a long time. With it's complicated machinery, challenging recipes, beautiful block types and powerful weapons, Tekkit was the dream that John and I had been dreaming of for a long time. John and I experimented with Lukey's Lands and installed the Spout plugin. Which, while it brought a huge assortment of possibilities to Minecraft was also very, very buggy. So Tekkit was just the thing that John and I needed. It created endless possibilities for a server, and we decided to go from there.

We scrapped the idea of Lukey's Lands 2.0, and LukeyCraft was born. LukeyCraft is everything John and I have ever wanted out of a server and more. With it's minigames, machines, and all out madness, LukeyCraft is fun for me not only as a player, but as an Admin/Co-Owner too. It is wonderful to be a part of something people truly appreciate. LukeyCraft quickly expanded from a 4 gig local hosted server, to a 6 gig VPS, to the 8 gig dedicated server it is now.
But we're not done yet! From 8g we'll go to 16! Then from 16g to 32g! As long as we keep getting players who come on and are as dedicated to having fun as we are we will continue to grow!

It was a long hard road to where we are now. But the journey was well worth it. I look forward to the future of LukeyCraft, and the fun to be had!

If you've read this whole thing and don't know what "Tekkit" is, GOOGLE IT! YOU'RE MISSING OUT!

This server rocks, I think it's creation and advancement is like a Minecraft version of some awesome movie that had a load of hardship, some great background and improved sequels that aren't even out yet!
