This is a huge mod, and will be covered over in 4 sections: Gameplay, Presentation, User-Interface, and Overall Enjoyment. The mod is available here for Minecraft 1.6.4 (Forge). Lets begin:

Gameplay
  • Normans: A brunt and noble race that specialize in alcohol and glass.
  • Northern Indians: Very hot and packed towns, always alive. They specialize in bricks.
  • Japanese: Noble and effective, they are always looking for the next big thing. They specialize in rice and their amazing weapons.
  • Mayans: A humble and fierce race of Native Central Americans, they love stone and cocoa.
  • Byzantines: They believe themselves to be Romans, and show so greatly in their amazing architecture and weaponry. They specialize in silk.

Each of these are different, with different buildings that are made of real-time blocks. Yeah, either they get them or you sell it to them. They eventually reproduce and expand over a large area, and can either praise or slander other villages. These actions can make great allies or great enemies, even leading to war. Every now and then, you can even find an empty house or small outpost of traders or even vicious bandits that attack any village or player. Exciting stuff huh?

Presentation
The mod looks extremely well. The textures on the villagers look well and complement each other, making it easy to identify which culture they are from. The buildings are all well done, with any custom textures looking great on vanilla textures. Even the villagers have different models, such as a Norman man being taller than a Japanese woman, or even the little children. Custom parchments and maps are well organized and can be used by anyone.

User-Interface
As a player, you can change the whole outcome of a village. You could raid one and steal all of their supplies, aid one and earn in-game currency used by all villages, or be a leader of your own custom village. Most of these actions are earned by trust, which can be gained by completing side quests and trading valuable items to the village. Eventually you can influence the villages politics, praising or slandering other towns. You can also buy some great gear from marketplaces, even obsidian tools. A nifty village find key (V) can be used to locate nearby villages. Multiplayer is fun too, allowing you and your friends to become village leaders and even fight each other! And if you think everything in the mod has been done, think again, for on the website, people can post their own village and building schematics for an easy install.

Overall Enjoyment
10/10 :P
