Rails and minecarts do things not everyone likes in the 1.8 snapshots. They tend to fly off the track on coners. This may tend to bother some people but there is a simple solution.
Placing blocks.
Yep that's the solution. This may be bad for rollercoasters really high up. Having ugly blocks for turns. Although you can use barriers they are sometimes buggy. Here are my perfered list of blocks to use:
Flower pots
Fences
Fence Gates.
Those are my perfered list although almost any block with a hitbox can work. (Although it is buggy.) There are still some blocks that don't work for this too:
Torches
Redstone torches
Flowers
Redstone
A neat idea is that you can use an activator rail so a piston pushes out.
