As you know, Minecraft 1.6 is just around the corner. Minecraft 1.6. came out today! One of the biggest updates in Minecraft. And the thing people are excited are on horses! If you have tried the snapshot, when you try to ride one, they will knock you off.
How to tame a horse:
I don't know if it Works 100% of the time, but first I surround the horse with hay blocks (4x4) and make it at least 4 blocks high. Next, I keep on mounting on the horse after it knocks me off. In 3-20 more tries, the horse should not be knocking you off.
How to ride and navigate your horse:
After you have tamed your horse, you still won't be able to ride your horse for a long time period. All you need is a saddle. Next, you need to mount your horse. Then, open the horse's inventory (Like how you would normally open your own). Then, on the top left, you should see your horse and two equip boxes, one for saddle and one for armor.
Armor for horses:
There are 4 different types of armor at the moment. Leather, Iron, Gold, and Diamond.
Special abilities the horses have:
They have a bar, like the exp bar. When you are mounted on your house, you can press and hold space to charge it up. But beware, if you charge it to max and keep on charging, it will decrease. You will know when you charged it to max when the bar hits orange. Charging the bar will be differ from having a saddle or not. Without a saddle, the horse rears up. The charge bar doesn't affect it. BUT, with a saddle, the horse can jump over blocks (1-3) blocks high. You can achieve the 3 block jump hitting the orange area of the bar (At the very end).
What to watch out for:
Horses cannot swim while you are on top of them, so don't try.
Other stuff in 1.6:
In creative, items will now have info! For blocks, it will tell you if it is decor, building, etc. For items, it will tell you if it is food, tools, etc. (These information can only be seen in the "Search Items" tab of creative mode.) Also for weapons and tools, it will now show attack damage! Each attack damage is half a heart.
