My MC Story (It does not have a name yet)
Chapter 1
Who…Who am I…?
A slow, summer’s breeze brushed across my face, awakening me from my eternal sleep. For the most part, the only thing I could hear was the sound of bleating sheep. I opened my eyes, only to be welcomed by the early morning sky; radiant colors of purple, orange, and blue where scattered over the sky, with only thin, long clouds to accompany it.
I sat up to try and observe my surroundings. From what I could tell, I was somehow placed in a low valley that stretched forward for miles on end. Huge mountains gathered on both sides, as if protecting the valley like giant, gaping walls. Small, wooden fences guarded the innermost part of the valley, only about 50 meters apart from each other. I could’ve stared for hours on end, but my view was blocked by an obese, white lamb.
I decided that I should at least stand up and find my way out of this small sheep farm. I got to my feet, feeling noxious from standing up too quickly. I looked up to find a small cottage, revealing that there was another human out here. The cottage was about two stories high, with a short wooden fence surrounding it on all sides. There was a small gate at the front, with a flower path leading up to it. The house fitted in perfectly for the setting it was put in.
I was already about to walk towards the cottage, when I had the strangest realization: I don’t even know who I AM. I look down at myself. I’m wearing a bright cyan shirt, an awkward, dark purple pair of jeans, and gray shoes. What a strange combination of clothes. I reached up to my face. I had a rough-textured face, probably signing that I had some sort of facial hair growing. My hair was short, almost too short for my liking. If I had any other facial features, I wouldn’t be able to recognize it until I actually look at myself in some sort of reflection.
I shook off the thought of myself and kept walking towards the small cottage. I reached the front gate of the house and pushed myself through, when all of a sudden, an iron ax slammed through the fence and right into the side of the house. That shook me up more than anything. I turn back to get a look at what, or who, launched that. There was a person with a wooden Shepard’s hook and a wooden sword.
“Who the hell are you? And how did you let yourself think that you could just break into my house and steal from me?” he screamed. The guy had similar clothes to what I wore, except his clothes were more tattered, his jeans were gray, and his shoes were black. He had shaggy, brown hair, brown eyes, and, from what I could tell, was slightly older than I was.
“I--I wasn’t trying to steal--“
“Save it!” the person put the sword into a fighting position, dropped his Shepard’s staff and darted my direction. I turned back and ran inside, which was probably the worst mistake I ever made. I entered through the door and I was suddenly standing in what was supposed to be a kitchen. To my right, there was an assortment of cabinets and chests, and an oven to sit in the middle. Above the oven sat a small window.
In front of me was a dining table with papers randomly scattered about the top of it. Over to the left was a set of stairs and a small living room. The living room only had a fireplace with a set of swords hanging ornamentally above it. It looked pretty nice for such a small place, but I was too lost in my surroundings to realize what was going on.
The guy broke in through the door and jabbed his sword, but missed and lodged the sword in the wall. I stood there, in a daze for a second and then something unexpected happened; He pushed the sword through the wall, while leaving a deep hole in the wall behind him. He then pulled out the sword and smashes the butt of his sword into my chest, which sent me flying into the living room.
I looked around to find a usable weapon, and remembered the two swords hanging on above the person’s fireplace. I pulled one of the swords off the mantle and wielded it in front of me, “Stop!” I yelled, and he awkwardly took a step back, still ready to attack at any chance he had “I’m not trying to steal from you! I was sleeping in this field not even an hour ago, and I don’t know how I got there…,”
“Why should I believe that story is real, and not made up on the go?”
“Uhhh…” I was drawing a blank. How on earth was I supposed to come up with a reason for him to believe me? Obviously, I was caught in quite the pickle…,”I uhh… I don’t really know,”
“You don’t know much of anything, do you? Look, if you really needed to be inside my house, you should’ve asked,”
“How was I supposed to know you were there…” I mumbled to myself.
“What was that?”
“Nothing,”
“Well, how about this, I’ll be able trust you when you fix up this entire mess,”
“What? I wasn’t even the one who caused the mess. You were the one swinging your sword like a maniac!”
“Hey man, if you want to be here, then just do the work,”
“Fine then; Hey, I didn’t quite catch your name,”
“Herobrine, but my brother calls me ‘Bree’ for short,”
“Alright, Bree, my name is…,” I paused for a moment. I don’t even know MY OWN NAME. I honestly wish I had a better memory than that of a watermelon…,”I don’t really know my name, or even know if I had a name,”
“Well, I guess I could come up with a name for you; Maybe John?”
“No, that name wouldn’t really fit me,”
“I’m surprised you know what does fit you; Maybe Steve?”
“Yeah, I like the way that sounds. Steeeeeeve,”

By the end of the day, I had finally finished repairing the damage that was done to his house. During that time, Bree would come by every once in a while to check on my progress and hand me more supplies.
“There! I’m finished!” I yelled in relief, “Is there anything else you want me to do, your majesty?”
“Hmmm… Nope, you’re finished; how about some dinner?”
“That would be amazing. What are we having?”
“Mushroom soup!” Bree said with a slight grin on his face.
I had the look of disgust on my face, “Are you serious? I may not have a memory, but I KNOW for a fact that that sounds nasty,”
“Trust me on this one; you’ll take that back after you try it. Mushroom soup is the kind of soup that came from God himself,” Bree walked over to one of the cabinets in his small kitchen and pulled out two small wooden bowls and a pot, “The recipe is simple too; just throw in mushrooms, a couple of spices, and water. Then BANG! Best soup ever,” Bree reached over and grabbed a handful of mushrooms from a small sack and dropped them into the pot.
“Mind if I help?”
“No, I think I got this handled,” Bree poured in a small amount of water, mixed with spices, into the pot and let it cook over the small fire.
I was going through my mind, thinking of some way to hold up a conversation with Bree, “So, tell me about your brother; you mentioned him a while ago,”
Bree walked over to the dining table and sat down across from me, “Oh, Notch. He’s my older brother, and kind of the heavy maintenance guy around here. He left this morning, deep into the mines, a few miles outside of here. Normally, he would’ve returned home by now, and I’m kind of getting worried. It’s almost nighttime outside,”
“I know I’m asking a stupid question, but why is it bad that it’s nighttime?”
“I forgot, you have memory loss; the reason why nighttime is bad news, especially for someone in the outdoors, is because of numerous monsters,”
“Monsters? Are you kidding me? You’re like what? 18? And you’re afraid of monsters? I feel sorry for you,”
“You don’t believe me? Come take a look,” From the way bree was saying this, he was more than serious. He walked to the window that sat above the fire and motioned me to come over. It was nearly pitch black outside, except for the small amount of light that was coming through the window, “Just wait for it,”
“Wait for what? It’s too dark to see---“ I was about to finish my sentence when something smacked against the window; the face was gnarled, and had a dark green color to it. Its clothes were tattered, and covered with several dark red stains; blood, probably. I jumped at the sight of it, “What the hell is that!?” I screamed.
“It’s a zombie; one of the many monsters that roam the world at night,” he paused, “Speaking of which, come help me board up all the doors,” he walked over to the small chest and pulled out two wooden boards and stood them in front of the door next to the steps, “Now that they’ve seen us, they’re going to try and find any possible way in,” Bree propped the pieces of wood up with two chests and left it as it was.
“What? You’re not going to nail the boards in or anything?” I was really beginning to question whether or not this guy was sane.
“The monsters of MC are imbeciles. If it looks blocked, they won’t try to break it down. And it would ruin my walls if I did that every night,” Bree went around and started to close all the curtains to every window.
“Wait; repeat that first part again,”
“If it looks blocked, they won’t try to break it down?”
“No, before that,”
“The monsters of MC are imbeciles?”
“Yeah, what is MC?”
“MC is the world we live in as of this current moment. My brother always called it that, but he never told me what the initials stood for,”
“Strange. Just one more question; have you met any other people, you know, like us?”
“No… other than Notch, you were the first person I’ve ever met that is anything like me,”
“Wow…,” I was at a loss for words. Are we really the only ones in this world; in MC? This implemented a strange thought on me; if Bree’s brother doesn’t return, what will happen to Bree? Bree seems so dependent on Notch that he probably wouldn’t know what to do with himself if Notch wasn’t around anymore, “Bree?” I asked.
“What is it now?”
“Do you think we might need to look for Notch?”
“I don’t know… If he doesn’t return soon, it might result in us risking our lives, just to find him,”
