Endermen are tall, black, humanoid creatures with long, noodly arms and legs. They have eyes with purple pupils, and mouths that open when they have been spotted. They come from an odd depressing dimension known as The End, which is also home to the terrifyingly strong Enderdragon.

Endermen remain neutral if you do not place your reticle over them; however, if you dare, they will open their mouths, pouring out purple particles. It should also be noticed that purple particles constantly surround one of these creatures. When the reticle is taken back off, the enderman will attack. The enderman does not seem to make any attacking movements, and instead will get up very close and drain your health. He will teleport away when attacked several times, but can still be killed. Endermen will drop eyes of ender, and there are several ways to kill them, which will be discussed in the next section.
KILLING THE BEASTS
Endermen cannot, in fact, burn in daylight; this adds them to the list of creatures that will not burn in daylight, which currently includes spiders and creepers. Endermen will be killed if they fall into lava or fire, this is logical, as their supposed homeland, The End, contains no liquids. An effective way of killing endermen is to make a 1x1 tower 4 blocks high, as the endermen cannot kill you that high, ybut you can still kill them. One can also kill them by tricking them into lava or water.
