I have never made a texture pack but I know a couple really good ones if you are looking for a 16x16 texture pack I would say that dokucraft is the best but hd ones it depends on what you like John smith is good along with misas but if you want realistic you should check ou the ultra realism pack and if you want cartoony you should defiantly check out sphax texture pack it works fine with tons of mods including all of tekkit and aether (witch are also amazing mods)
