A good friend of mine is trying to get steam and mojang to put Minecraft on steam. I personally think it would be a bad / difficult thing to do. What would happen with our Minecraft accounts? We would all be using our steam accounts to play and all of us who put our money into it would be flushing our money down the drain. Also, the modding would be more strict, it would have to pass through the steam workshop before any peole could download it. These are just a few of the many reasons that minecraft is meant to be played on its own launcher and modpack launchers; not on steam.
