Creating a minecraft server is simple. A lot of videos say that it is hard but in reality it is not. Your first step is to go to your router and find the name. I use linksys. Then open your start menu and click on the Run icon. Now in the little text box type cmd. This will open your systems command prompt. In here you will need to find your local ip and default gateways. Type in ipconfig /all. Find where it says ip adress and default gateway and wright those down. Now time for port forwarding. In your browser type in your gateway number. It will come up with a box where you should type in your router name and the password. For default the pass is admin. Now you are ready. Open up your applitions and gaming section. (this may vary. Locate your router on port forward.com to find what you need to go to.) Here you should see blank text fields. Some may have the number 0. Now in the name section type in minecraft and next to it in the port fields you need to type 25565. Make sure it is set to Both. In the last field type in the last number off your ip. You just port forwarded! After this you can run your server software and generate the files.
