BREAKING NEWS: Sky dimension dumped!
When it was introduced minecraft wiki said that the famous "sky dimension" would be in a future update but a few weeks ago, minecraft wiki claims that "The sky dimension has been ultimately Scrapped" see http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Sky_dimension BUT there is still hope, Jeb said that "returning the Sky Dimension was not planned and therefore is unlikely to be done." Which means there is a slight chance that it WILL be introduced in a future update

a few days before the AWESOME 1.3 update came out, notch said that he would no longer be involved with minecraft and was making jeb head of minecraft now.
