As of my writing of this blog, it seems Mojang is again failing us. Minecraft.net is currently down, the website is inaccessible and the Minecraft game can't link up to it to allow for multiplayer. Normally, that leaves us on Single player. Or does it?
In reality, we can still connect to cracked/offline mode servers just fine! Because they don't require Minecraft.net or Mojang Server authentication at all, you can use a offline-mode client to get a name, and connect to a offline-mode server. Just search "Cracked server" or "offline mode" in the server listings.
If you want to know more about exactly how an offline mode/cracked server works, visit my other blog:

It was down, and this is just a blurb, in case it goes down again.
