Hi there! These are the ideas I have to improve Minecraft:

1. New ores/new way of smelting ores
A few ores that I still want to see in Minecraft are Copper, Silver, Opal and Netherbolt.
- Copper will be an ore standing between Stone and Iron. Copper can be found exclusively close to the surface, and is as rare as iron but found in larger veins. Copper ore will look brown/orange.

- Silver is the ore that is found really deep into the ground and will become a much used ore for making tools. It is much better than Iron and found more than Diamond. Steel tools will have the same harvesting speed as Gold tools, only the durability will be a little (around 50 uses) more than Iron tools. Silver will shine a bright white color that can be noticed easily in caves.

- Opal will be a pitch black ore, even darker than Coal. It is found in the 10 layers that rest above the bottom of the world, bedrock. Opal tools are twice as strong and fast as diamond, but the void has cursed them so that they can't be enchanted.

- Netherbolt, as the name sais, is an ore that can be found in the caves of the Nether. This ore will be a bit weaker than Diamond, but hard to find. Netherbolt armor can't be enchanted due to the fact that it's not from this world, but will always grant you a 50% boost to fire protection. Netherbolt will give the player more reason to explore the Nether.

All ores can now be smelted in a refiner. A refiner is made the same way as a furnance, only with a flint and steel in the middle. The GUI is the same as a furnance and it will also work the same way (fueling with coal etc.). A furnance will now only serve for cooking food.

2. More wildlife
Of course this is what everyone wants, but maybe this blog post will be heard by Mojang. More wildlife is definately needed in Minecraft. Not just on land, also in the ocean. It would be the best if there would be more biome-specific mobs like snakes and scorpions in the desert and rabbits running around in the plains biome.

3. More biome-specific structures
Sunken ships with treasure in the ocean, abandoned camps in the snowy mountains, tribal huts hidden in the deepest jungles, caves created by mountain climbers in the extreme hills biome, etc. More biome-specific structures will give players motivation to explore their world and see the wonders Minecraft has to offer.

4. NPC cities, shops and traders
Large cities, very hard to find, spawn in the overworld. They will bring protection to the NPC villagers, who will have much more variety like guards, shopkeepers, kings and queens. Also an idea, a new type of building for NPC villages and cities; shops. In NPC shops there will be a villager that sells all kinds of stuff normal villagers won't sell you (decoration items like paintings for instance). At last there is an NPC trader. This guy will not spawn in villages or cities, but somewhere random in the overworld. It will wander around, avoiding danger and seeking players to trade with. The NPC trader will trade usefull items for travelers like food, wooden and stone tools and compasses for finding your home.

5. Coloring wood
Wood can now be dyed with every dye in Minecraft, imagine the posibilities with so many colors of wood!
