Hi All, Hope you enjoy my idea!


To me, Even if he isn't real, the icon of the Nether for me is Herobrine :)

The main part of my idea, as the title suggests, is Corruption.

Not in the terms of a person being corrupted by a demon or human, but Armor, Tools and maybe even some form of corruption to your health :P


Main Part: How Corruption would come about.


There you are, taking a nice trip to the nether in your nice new set of diamond armor with your tools, all of a sudden you realize, a whole day has passed already, your armor has some strange sort of decay on it :O you look at your sword, the same is happening there too D:

You get worried and return to the overworld, your armor and tools are still strange...

On your way back home you run into a creeper/skeleton/zombie (any hostile mob), you get attacked, WHAT no damage taken to your health!? (Varies in defense depending on the corrupt armor) You attack the hostile mob and it dies... IN ONE HIT!?! (Varies in power depending on the corrupt tool) So you decide to check your armor and tools... their durability has gone down triple the usual rate O_o.


Basically Corruption from being in the nether too long (something a certain ghostly person could cause) powers up your tools/armor however they break quicker, Another part of the idea being your health is corrupted, in this case any damage you take (if not wearing corrupted armor) is doubled but any damage done with your fists also GIVE double damage :)


Health corruption would occur after 3 days in the nether.


Corruption would make journeys to the Nether a bit more fun with the chance of gaining it, this could also make you want a hurry around the Nether or not depending on if you wish to catch it, some may consider it a powerup with partial negative effects :P


Corruption causes whatever tool/armor or health bar to gain a darker and rotten look to it.
