Mineplex paintball mini-game

Now im not going to get into the ethics, comparison of real vs in game, or how its all wrong, it is what it is. Mineplex's mini game, paintball, is a fast paced action packed game where people get to feel what its like to play paintball and call of duty at the same time. I think that if this game was a straight call of duty game, or straight paintball game, nobody would be interested in it, this is something new. It brings the two games together, flying projectiles, reviving teamates, and different weapons, Mineplex has done a fantastic job of creating a new type of game, as usual. However new types of games always have, something to be improved upon, otherwise it would not be new.
   I want to talk about the balance of the paintball game in Mineplex. I've played this game alot, so I have heard everything, I hear people raging about how unfair it is, and seconds later defending it when I tell them it should be different to be more balanced. Some people flat out agree, and some people shove it in my face about how im wrong, I apreciate both answers because it helps me gain their perspective of the game. Often people complain about how one side has better weapons, or their weapons are to op, each weapon has their ups and downs and can be played around. Some people complain about the map, but the maps are equal on both sides. However the bigest topic you will hear when playing this game is how people should revive more. 
   So here are four situations from one teams perspective that happen. 1. our team dominates, wining the game in seconds. 2. the game was close, both teams battling it out, but is done in seconds. 3. our team was dominated, we lost on seconds. 4. the game was long, both teams were balanced, and the game was immensly fun. As you can immagine, the 4th situation rarely happens, perhaps once a week for a person.
   The weapons are always constant, the teams are mostly always balanced, the maps are a mirror immage, but the reviving aspect is always random. People have the choice to wash the paint off of them, or revive a teamate. Due to this, people become reckless and often go on suicide runs which heavily depends on them healing themselves. These people go different ways and try to move as fast and as far as possible, creating a very random game. So I brainstormed, I asked around, and I asked for opinoins, eventually I threw away all the ideas and came up with one simple solution. Immagine if you could only heal teamates, never yourself. This would force people to use cover, work as a team, and improve their skill, while keeping the game long and fun.
   While asking around for people opinoins on this, players say that it would turn into a defensive game, thats their only quarrel with my idea. But they don't understand in paintball, your defense is your offense. if you play well, and you play with purpose, use cover and outmaneuver your opponents, your playing with skill, not defense. I dont expect my support will do anything to help change the game, thats why im telling all you people who complain about how its unfair, to make noise about this, every one of you can change the game if you truly want to. Don't sit down and complain, thats not going to get you anywhere, think of idea's and put them to practice, that goes for everybody. Have a good day <3
