Part One of A Ten Part Series

My original goal was to get some diamonds and get out. But now I'm stuck in this labyrinth of a mine. Let me tell you this story from the beginning. I was an average miner looking for ores and riches. But these few days would put me in situations that I have never been in before.
Day One: I had brought a huge supply of food, torches, and pickaxes to help me out on my journey in the mine. But this wasnt your ordinary mine. It was already closed down because of the vast number of miners that had disappeared inside while trying to find diamonds and such. All my friends had tried to warn me but ever since I was a kid, I've been exploring any chance I had got. Immediately when I steped in the mine I reached a fork. Left or right? I went with left. Inside the mine there were your average oars iron, and coal. I had found about 20 blocks of coal when I heard the sound of bones cluncking. Skeletons were always a problem for miners but not for me. I had come prepared knowing that their would be hostile mobs with a iron sword and a set of armor. I headed towards the darkness placing torches as I went deeper and deeper in the mine and reached a dungeon. As I opened one of the chests I heard growling....
