Mod help?

Can anyone help to teach me about making a mod? I have some good ideas but I don't knowhow to get them into the game. I have tried watching videos on youtube but most of them are too confusing. I need to know how to write the coding in MCP because I can't seem to find it anywhere. HELP! Please leave a comment with some suggestions for videos or other things that could help.
