Ayano and Shadow were sitting on the balcony of her house, working on bills.


“Bills, bills, bills.” Shadow put down the papers. “How are we gonna pay for it?” Shadow asked.


“Once we get our first case, my friend. Then we’ll get money!” Ayano replied.


“Yeah, but we don’t know when that will happen. I think we should get a way of making money when we don’t have cases.”


“Hm. I guess so. I can do some work-from-home stuff.”


Suddenly the doorbell rang.


“Shadow, get the papers, please.”


“On it.”


“Hello! I’m Finnodile, and I have mail for Ayano Aishi. Does she live here?”


“Yes, thank you.”


“Ayano! I think we have a case!” Shadow said excitedly.


“Let me see.”
