Mvndicraft Lords at War final pre release Dev Blog
Hello mvndi bros, we are back and have been cooking, after the many events that we've been able to put together we have been able to finalise the combat for release of the server thanks to this many key features were added to improve the combat itself and general quality of life features.
In this dev blog we will talk about what has been added in regards to the combat addons, the equipment, the map and our plans post launch.

Combat and quality of life features:


- Stamina regeneration when killing an enemy

- No loss of saturation when in combat

- The stamina has been increase to 40.

- Heavier weapons now disable shields for longer.

- Dynamic knockback, when your attack is not fully charged you will not deal any knockback

- A headshot multiplier of x2 aded to ranged and throwing weapons (the multiplier gets reduced if you are wearing a helmet)

- New bow types have been added

- throwing weapons have been finished and are ready for launch

- cavalry system has been added and has been changed quite heavily since mvndi II

- To use the cavalry lance you will have to now left click while galloping with a horse, if you are on a horse without a shield the hit will knock you off

- when drowning you will not be able to remove your armour

- lava buckets and flint n steel will not work during combat (lava buckets will not be placeable in general)

- added the ability in our combat system to have arrow types with different stats and effects (we will add arrow types post launch when models are made)

- Horses have been nerfed so they cannot be bred to have ridiculous jump height or speed

- seasons have been added with many visual effects

- Mvndi soundscapes (music and ambient sound system has been added back)

- enchanted books will be available at spawn for enchantment of tools

- Highway men have been nerfed to be slower

- Hit detection has been improved

- New anti cheat was added

- Siege cannon has been added with canister shot

New gear:


- Spiked pole mace


- Claymore

- Zweihander


- Goedendag

- Fauchard


- English Longbow


- Handgonne


- Albion Falchion

- Crow's Beak

- Sword staff

- New shield category (berber shields) and added new patterns for old ones which results in a total of around 26 shields


- New armours (Half plate cuirasse, plated brigandine, tabarded hauberk, tabarded full plate)

- 7 new helmets added (Andalusian nasal helm, Andlusian helm, Hounskull bascinet, bretache bascinet, pig faced bascinet, visored ridged bascinet, chain coif)



- Our weapon roster has now reached close to 40 individual weapons, we now have a total of more than 90 individual shields, we have 12 different armour sets and more than 50 individual helmets

-New tool models



Map changes:



- New points of interests added such as lakes and rivers

- Better shrub and micro cover has been added

- Better grass around the whole map

- Ores have been spread much more consistently around the map

- Quartz has been added

- seasons will last 2 real life weeks

- Montains have been scaled better and no longer abruptly sprout out of a flat valley


War system changes:



- After winning a siege you will be able to plunder enemy chests for 15 minutes


- Around a siege area of a town attackers and outsiders will not be able to build and place blocks

- Defenders can only place blocks on a cooldown
