Optifine problems

I have been having a reoccuring problem with Optifine, when i install it, and enter a server or singleplayer world blocks do not render. I have optifine installed using the Magiclauncher, and have Rei's minimap along with it. I haven't been able to find a fix for this as of yet, and any help would be appreciated, post in the comments of any possible solutions you could have for me. Thanks.

The solution is because you are using other mods at the same time with OptiFine. What you have to do is to only use the OptiFine mod alone. You can find mod installers on the official OptiFine homepage to download a mod installer that installs the mod for you. I recommend using versions newer than 1.6, because 1.5.4 and older versions does not use the "versions" folder to install mods, they only use the "bin" folder and the "mods" folder. Sometimes they even use the "assets" folder and the "resources" folder.

Here are the steps:
1. Deactivate all the mods that you have activated
2. Go to the official optifine homepage and select a suitable optifine version to the right minecraft version
3. Download the ".jar" mod installer file
4. Launch the ".jar" file you downloaded and run it (not compatible with MAC's)
5. Once the mod is installed you can launch the game again

You can only use several mods at the same time with optifine if optifine is beeing overwritten by any other mods, such as the "MC Patcher" mod. Using waypoints and minimap is not recommended while using OptiFine.
