My beloved Crafting Story

Part #1 Drastic changes

I logged on to my Minecraft world, eager to explore on my next virtual day. I quickly entered my preferred survival world. After waiting only a few seconds for the map to load I started walking around to remember the map I made in my head of the world. But what was this? Everything was gone! Not a single brick, glass, or wooden plank in it's former place! Was someone playing a prank on me, or was the 1.7 update really this bugged? Thoughts raced throughout my mind as I looked in my inventory, nothing! Surely my sister logged on to my Minecraft and deleted everything to get me back for killing her previously in hunger games on The Hive. I called her and she claimed "I was out all day I could not have touched it!". I believed her and went to find a tree so I could gather wood and remake my eight-story house. I dashed out of my 'house' and approached the closest tree. After hearing the five POPS of picking up the wood I opened my inventory to make the wood into planks. I noticed something I refused torealize before, no crafting section! What was I to do?I exited Minecraft to look for a change log and saw nothing talking about removing crafting from the game. Nothing was to be seen other than the 1.7 change log.

Part #2 Adapting to change

How hard it had been to survive without crafting! I had to adapt to such a thing, that was obvious. I began by laboriously collecting wood, since I was unable to turn it to planks. I made a house above ground (I could not craft a pickaxe and was not about to spend thirty minutes of my life digging a giant hole). It was quite the task building this because I had to leave it with open holes (these were windows, but I could not make a furnace to make glass) so I could see. I could not make torches either, or weapons, or collect cobblestone. I pondered on what the point of the game was now that you could not craft anything or remain with anything you've crafted before. It was too much, so I logged off of Minecraft.

Part #3 Meaning and moral.

Not enough people understand little important things they have. Something like craftingthat'staken for granted in not appreciated until it's not there, which is when people will complain about it. Put yourself in these shoes. Even if you don't play Minecraft you should have a fair understanding of it since you are on Planet Minecraft. Imagine you wake up one day to find no clothes what so ever. In fact you notice that there is no cloth either. No bed sheets, no pillow cases, none of that. So how would you feel? What would you do? Don't take things for granted. You'll one day not have it and realize that you needed it all along and had it before, but just did not appreciate it. Think about it. Food for thought. Enjoy.
