UNNAMED-FLOWER-DISEASE-RECORDING.FILE
So far, we've only had two patients with this.. "disease". One of them passed away near immediately; although speculation decides it wasn't even because of the.. the buds. They look to be.. growing.. out of their skin. However, both cases experienced a loss even before their own- the mother. The mother seems to pass in childbirth when delivering a baby with this disease. Somehow this patient survived.. this baby is also one of those avians, same as the other one. We'll keep updating; this case.. sure is interesting.
[audio cuts to static, before returning to speech; it seems a few years have passed]
We've deduced that this disease can definitely grow on other species- it's not limited to the avians. This case specifically is a dove; the last one was a sparrow. It tends to prefer smaller species with hollow bones, hence the small birds. We presume it prefers hollow bones to make it easier to grow, although we haven't seen any signs of internal growth. The patient is a few years old now; maybe five or six. Their wings are just starting to develop, but the buds have already spread. Speaking of buds, the ones on the patient's waist have started to bloom. The buds have also spread to the tail, shoulder and are becoming more sporadic along the legs, whereas everywhere else they grow in clusters. They don't seem to grow in particularly inconvenient places, like the feet or joints or things of that nature. The patient will not let us attempt to trim the buds off.
[audio cuts again, static buzzes; a few more years have passed]
Another discovery has been made. She's eleven now
Today, the patient got out- into the streets. For a breath of fresh air, she said. Claimed that the flowers liked it better than the stale hospital air. However, she told us- with peculiar nonchalantness- that a man tried to kill her today, in broad daylight. This is where it gets.. interesting, to say the least. She said the flowers.. have a mind of their own? They protect the host. She said she reached out almost against her will and grabbed the man. The disease spread to him, buds popping up on his arm. As soon as she let go, they all fell off, leaving him.. bleeding. Apparently it has a burning sensation if there's a lot of them. It wasn't permanent; you can only contract the disease as long as you're in direct contact with the host and as a defense mechanism. The patient claims that the flowers can tell who's a threat; she explained that the flower growing from her eye- painless, not to worry- is directly connected to her brain. The rest are just connected to nerves and muscles and bones. It's like the head flower, literally and figuratively. Like the nucleus. This just keeps getting more and more interesting.
[this time, a much shorter bzzt before audio cuts back in]
The patient is now fourteen, and looking healthier than ever. Her wings are now fully developed, and the buds are starting to bloom. The ones on her waist have already bloomed, and the ones everywhere else are following suit. The flowers themselves are buttercups, although some are bigger than normal sized ones. We suspect it's because they get more nutrients growing from the body. Perhaps we could get a florist to study them. We've finally managed to pick one of the flowers, with the patient's permission, and safe to say we will not be doing it again, considering she started bleeding. Not profusely; it was a smaller, more out of the way flower. We're too afraid to pluck one of the bigger ones.
[once more, the audio turns to static. as expected, a bit more time has passed]
The flower that we plucked began to grow back, albeit smaller than the rest. The patient is now nineteen- nineteen and a half, to be precise. We've made a few new discoveries. First off, when plucked, yes, the flowers do grow back smaller- because they didn't have the time to grow as big. The flowers seem to stop growing when the patient hits eighteen. Another peculiar item to consider is that.. the flower we picked from when she was fourteen hasn't wilted yet. We've revisited the grave of the first patient- the deceased infant that passed during the childbirth- and the same sort of flowers were growing overtop the grave. In clusters. Apparently the flowers can also vine. We attempted to take some back to the hospital, but when we cut the flowers, they.. they bled. Human.. blood. We decided against it. Another thing worth noting is that the flowers aren't fleshy at all- completely made of plant fiber. The plant cells don't seem to clash with the human ones. This is quite the peculiar disease.
TEEHEE HOPE YA ENJOYED 💥💥
