The following morning, Meilin wakes up, yawning. She stretches and looks at Arian's bed. Strangely enough, the girl isn't in it. Meilin's first thought is that Arian has probably been up for a few moments, and that's why she's not there. She gets up herself and the first thing she does is check up on Belle.

"Good morning, Belle." She says.

"Morning..." Belle replies in a sleepy voice.

Meilin then goes downstairs, hoping to find her friend there. The entrance door is slightly open, and there's no sign of Arianwyn anywhere. 'Maybe she went off to buy groceries ?' Meilin thinks. 'I'd better give her a call, just in case.'

She takes her cell phone and calls Arian. Nobody answers, but she hears a little noise upstairs. She follows it and finds Arian's cell phone near the bed. She takes a look at it, worried. Arian didn't take her phone with her ? Why ? And where might she be ? She gets to Belle and Ender, hoping to find answers.

"Guys... Have one of you seen Arian ?"

"Arian ? Why, wasn't she sleeping with you ?" Ender asks.

"Well, yes... But she wasn't there when I woke up. And she didn't take her phone..."

"She's gone ?" Belle asks, a bit worried.

"It seems like it..." Meilin says. "But it's not like her to go somewhere without telling anyone."

"I know..." Ender says. "Let's ask the others if they saw her."

They all go and question the other students, without result. None of them saw Arianwyn. She apparently disappeared. Very worried, Meilin, Belle and Ender decide that they'd better go and talk about this to the teachers, especially the director, Marianne Golden, also known as Ms. Golden.



A few hours later, Marianne is holding a faculty meeting in the school, while the students of the Spark Class are waiting in another room. The look on the director's face is very serious. She says:

"First of all, thanks to you all for coming to this meeting. It has been brought to my attention that one of our students disappeared. Not only that, but I noticed that some of our fellow teachers disappeared as well. To make things even worse... But perhaps I should let Mr. Ice talk about it."

"Thank you, director." Mr. Ice says. "I have discovered a very... troubling thing. A student from my class, DG, has been... Gone. Since yesterday. His fellow classmates tell me he collapsed, seemingly victim of some sort of heart attack. Not only that, but they claim to have seen some kind of corpse that could have been Mr. Sameer's."

"No kidding ?" Mr. Bear exclaims. "But who would ? And why ?"

Mr. Enny speaks up and announces:

"Well, we don't know for sure, but..."

"But there have been rumors around the city." Ms. Kay completes. "This kind of disappearance have been heard of."

"That's... Quite scary. What shall we do, then ?" Mr. Hume asks.

"Well, for one thing, we have to save our student." Ms. Golden says. "Let's try to gather information on what happened and where can we find her."



Soon enough, the students are informed of the situation. All classes are gathered in the school, each one in a different room, but all very close to the teacher's room, so the latters can help if there's the need. In the Shadow Class room, all students talk between them.

"Did you hear what happened to Arianwyn ?" Natasha asks. "That's terrible... It is said that she was... kidnapped..."

"Good riddance..." Shadow Zibonzi mumbles.

"We should help the teachers to retrieve her !" Ayano exclaims. "After all, like Shadow said, we have powers ! We can fight !"

"Yeah !" Rider says with enthusiasm. "She needs help, and the Shadow Class can..."

"No way, no how !" Shadow Zibonzi shouts. "It's her problem, and none of our business ! Why should we ever put our lives at risk to help that... that girl."

There's so much venom in the last word that it's clear he wanted to qualify her by something else. Probably some nasty swear...

"She's always been so sickingly sweet and light-headed... Yuck !"

"Yeah, well..." Natasha says shyly... "She's always been sickingly sweet. She's been nice with us all, even if, I've got to say it, our class isn't the nicest there is."

"Nice, except with you..." Sadie says to Shadow, snickering.

"Anyways, we have to help her out ! It's time we return the favor !" Ayano exclaims.

Shadow Zibonzi growls lowly and looks away, but Natasha and Ayano look at him with begging looks. Finally, the self-proclaimed leader of the Shadow Class lets out a:

"FINE ! But we're not doing it for her. We're doing this because the guys who kidnapped her are probably the same that killed DG. We'll teach them that you can't cross the Shadow Class and walk away unharmed !"

"You've got a heart, after all..." Ayano whispers to him as the other students are planning the way they'll contribute.

"Shut up..." He growls again.



"Ah, here they come..." Kyoukichi smirks.
