  A few years ago, a prosperous family from a neighboring kingdom suffered a great loss. The Pendragon family lost a beloved member, known as the Great Aunt, the head of the family. The only person who knew her name was her husband, siblings, parents and children; alas, her family had passed before she created the current, and he rest know better. She gave birth to a lovely young woman with hair of a turquoise crystal, who married a dashing pirate with eyes of the sky, and they sired a beautiful child, carrying over both of those astonishingly rare traits.
  But, sadly, all happy things must end, as do sad, and the pirate left the lovely woman to return to his true love, the waves of the ocean even bluer than his wife's locks, leaving her and her daughter with the Great Aunt. Now, the Pendragon family was simply heartbroken; the now-infamous pirate was beloved by everyone. However, the Great Aunt refused to let this deter the cheerful mood. They were quite rich, of course, and could provide everything needed for the dear mother and daughter duo. Charlie Pendragon, as so named, grew up happily and well-raised, with mannerisms of that of a noble; after all, she was one. She had no concept of a father, other than her great uncle who she never really liked, and her other uncles were hardly ever around, so she was still somewhat a rowdy child, and quite fond of the sea.
  After the depressing loss of the Great Aunt, she, in her will, wrote all of her money over to her husband, Lynel. Lynel was horribly addicted to gambling, so he gambled himself into a nasty, dirty hole called debt. He had lost contact of his sons and their wives, cutting of their ties after the Great Aunt's death, so he called upon Charlie for help.
  Charlie's bright idea was to become a pirate as her father was, and to scavenge off her uncle's debt. It took many, many, many, many moons, in which she became the captain of her own ship, the Spectrine, but eventually she returned... only to find out she was too late and her uncle had been massacred brutally for not paying back on time. She gave the profits to the debtors, apologizing profusely, and returned to her mother's home with the rest of the gold. Her mother, however, dissatisfied with he daughter's inability to save her family, took the gold and kicked Charlie out.
  Charlie returned to the Spectrine, and sailed for a long time, gaining the ability to not immediately vomit every time they hit a slight bump and a name for herself on the seven seas, as the one of blue hair who fights with a stick. [​That's literally how people know her, I kid you not]
  But on one fateful day, a single, harsh, difficult, relentless storm that lasted days either washed all of her crewmates off board or drove them to the point of insanity, walking the plank of their own will. She says she heard sirens that day... [​headcannon?]
  She washed up on a certain shore, and met a skeleton pirate [ClayMan1077] who recruited her for his personal crew of [​rather ragtag] pirates, and gave her an enchanted bag that could hold over a million pounds. Consequently, the next heist they were planning to pull was at the upcoming ball...

  She didn't mean to steal half a million gold. She didn't know she could, nor did she want to. She wasn't even planning on bringing it back to Clay. All she wanted was to settle down and find somewhere she belonged. That wasn't on the seas anymore. She wanted to feel included, somewhere, anywhere,
and took Clay's offer out of desperation. Now, because of that, she was stuck on a ship, slowly bleeding out, with a guy who's definitely trying to kill her [BlueBoyBuilds].
