Hi everybody, regomania here and welcome to my first blog review. Did I ever tell you guys I love Power powers. This show ruled my life. I grew out of it then grew back into it. I still love watching my one and only copy of dino thunder. When I saw the commercial for samurai I was annoyed. That was during the time when I hated the show. But samurai was the reason why I got back into the show. So I decided to review the series, it's characters and compare it to its super sentai shinkenger counterpart. How good is it? Well lets dig into power rangers samurai and find out!
Story:
I thought the story was great because it was relating to japanese religion. I hated it aswell because of one thing. TOO MANY FILLERS. Shinkenger had alot of fillers but they were enjoyable. The fillers were stupid and time wasting. You didn't really see episodes relating to the story. But this only occurs in season 2.
I give story a 8.5/10
Characters:
All the characters were tough nuts to crack in analyzing. Lets take a look at them
Jayden is the toughest nut to crack, He basically the stoic and serious leader. I'n the first episode he showed no smile what so ever. I wanted to call him an emo but he grew on me when he showed much more emotion in later episodes. His sentai counterpart, takeru is a character in which I hate, he only cares for people who are strong. Jayden was much better
Mia is the happy go lucky type. Like all the other pink rangers. She serves as a big sister to the group and her sentai counterpart, mako remains the same. We also find out she has a brother in the second season. Nice. Mia wasn't my favourite character but she was likable. A good personality. Luckily, she does go through development But Mako and Mia stay the same in the likability meter. I like them both
Kevin is just annoying. Cracking bad puns and rhymes. His sentai counterpart ryunosuke was especially annoying for being a stereotypical anime like character. He's a swimmer. That's all we know about him... He doesn't really go throught development. Kevin I don't like.
Emily is possibly the best character in the season(s) because she undergoes the most development, having 3 episodes dedicated to her development and backstory. Her sentai counterpart, kotoha is the same, completely likable and a great character to me. But, you really feel sorry for this chick, her sister is sick and never got better for a few years and she took a dangerous and life risking responsibility.
Mike is the lazy ass of the group, he isn't good or bad. You either like him or hate him. In my case I find him okay. He goes through development but not that much to satisfy me. Chiaki is way better because he does go through development. I like them both...... But I'm confused by how he acts sometimes...... I just get confused with Hector David JR's acting sometimes....
Characters 10/10
Theme song
I HATE THE THEME SONG, THAT IS ALL
Villains: I like the villains in this show, they look and sound intimidating. But..... Xandred just likes to get drunk on friday nights and fantasise about Emily in a maids outfit XD
In all, I really like this show, it isn't my favorite series. But it would come in 3rd if I had to rank it.
I'm regomania and thanks for reading!
