Pre-Release, please help!!!

So i downloaded the Pre-Release minecraft.jar then put it in my minecraft folder with my minecraft, then i went onto minecraft and checked if it was working but then when i logged in it aid Can't Connect To Minecraft!!!, i reeaalllyy need help here, if anybody could help me here that anybody would be a legend, its just reaally annoying not being able to play minecraft!, thanks for listening

delete ur 1.7.3 jar you cant have 2 jar files
