this blog is adout the gear. look on minecraftwiki.net if you dont know. this blog is about how the gear would work and how would be formed .ect. my idea is that it would be like a vertical redstone. also to would work like a redstone tourch. it would be crafted with a piston in the middle and iron ignat on the courners and redstone on the rest. change the piston to sticky piston for it to go on walls. ( i forgot that the crafting would give 2 gears). a gear can only work with a redstone current on it so it would be like a give/take thing. read my form and give your ideas. it would be cool for modders to do this idea.

I think it should be redstone in the center. Piston seems too unrealistic.

I see gears beign in minecraft 1 day again with the accompany of lanterns i mean handheld lanterns too
